Thank you Spencer Parrish who celebrated his 13th birthday at Sparkles Skating Rink and suggested donations to Rob’s Rescues instead of gifts in memory of his two boxers, Zoe & Kobe Brian Parrish, both of whom he lost this year to cancer–July 2016 & January 2016, respectfully.  Sparkles was so touched by the generosity of Spencer and his friends that they gave all the kids in the party 2 free passes for future visits.  This massive collection of food will find its way to needy people in our communities to help them feed their pets and reduce owner surrenders to shelters through Cherokee County Animal Shelter and Cobb County Animal Control.

This is a joint initiative with www.mygreatergood.com, Pet Buddies Food Pantry and Rob’s Rescues to help Atlanta’s homeless and their pets.  If you could put a few extras on your grocery list and contribute a blessing bag for the homeless in Atlanta or a blessing bag for their pets we will be collecting them March 7-21.  There will be collection bins at Northside Hospital Holly Springs (684 Sixes Road) and the Butcher and Bottle, (3568 Sixes Road).

Thank you Starbucks for hosting a great collection for animals in need in our community !!

Pet Food collection is October 11 – 18 at the Starbucks on Sixes Road, Canton.  Please drop a can or bag of Dog or Cat food in at Starbucks to support animals in need in the community !  Thank you!!

Top left:  Milo is an owner surrender.  A sweet 1 year old Beagle mixed breed.  Very unhappy about being in the Shelter.

Top right: Scooby is a 1 year old Shepherd mix.  He was found as a stray and the shelter people say he is a happy dog with lots of love to give and really enjoys walks.

Bottom left: The Siamese cat is Leo and he is 5 years old.  He is calm, friendly and placid.

Bottom right: The grey and white cat is Abbey and she is about 2 years old.  We found her very playful.

 

Are you having a birthday and want a quick and easy way to help people and animals in our community- ask your friends to bring a small bag or can of dog or cat food and put it in a RR collection bin that we will provide.  Rob will write a thank you note to the party person too !  Find out more HERE ……..
